2012 OUR TRAVELS WITH SCRUFFIE

YAMBA WATERS -  9 Dec 2011- 27 Jan 2012
Really enjoyed the long stay at Yamba and got a great feel about the place.  Plenty of Restaurants, Cafes and fashionable Boutiques.
It was great to be able to find a Caravan Park that was Dog Friendly over the Christmas Period.   We got into the spirit of Christmas and decorated the Annex, had a Traditional Hot Christmas Dinner and met up some friendly families from NSW, Qld & also UK.

Experienced some rough weather during our stay.  Pippi Beach, the only Dog Friendly Beach in town, was the only beach not to be closed on Boxing Day - the surf was wild.






FERRY RESERVE - BRUNSWICK HEADS  27 Jan - 3 Feb
Another wonderful stay at Ferry Reserve was had by all.
Paul looks to be back into Golfing thanks to Rob and I met & made a lovely friend by the name of Kerry.  Bingo at both Brunz Bowls Club & Mullum RSL were lots of fun.
Mixed bag of weather but we made the most of every sunny day - some great days at the beach.
Billinudgel Pub was great for a drink & a feed.
Some very pretty scenic drives to be taken around the area.
Looking forward to a return visit around Oct/Nov this year.  In the meantime we'll be heading for Tewantin tomorrow and plan to set off on our Cooktown Trip just after Easter.
